Greif Belgium produces steel and plastic drums and supplies industrial packaging to various sectors. We strive for a safe workplace and a culture of diversity and camaraderie. For our site in Lier, Belgium, we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner.
Role:
As an HR Business Partner, you are the main point of contact for employees and managers at our plant in Lier. You combine strong operational HR support with an advisory and strategic role. You ensure the correct execution of HR processes and, together with the Belgian management team, contribute to a forward-looking HR policy aligned with the company strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the point of contact for managers and employees and provide advice on HR policy, labor law, and employee relations.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, internal mobility, and offboarding.
- Manage and update HR data in Protime and Workday and prepare relevant reports and analyses.
- Serve as backup for payroll processing of white-collar employees.
- Support managers with performance management, talent development, and workforce planning.
- Identify training needs and coordinate suitable training and development initiatives.
- Guide organizational changes, with attention to their impact on employees and teams.
- Contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive working environment.
- Participate in regional HR projects within EMEA and contribute to the optimization of HR processes.
Education and Experience
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, labor law, business administration, or a similar field.
- You have relevant experience in a broad HR role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- You have good knowledge of Belgian labor law.
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with Protime and E-Blox (SD) is an advantage. Knowledge of Workday is a plus.
- You combine operational accuracy with a proactive and policy-oriented approach.
- You are an approachable and reliable discussion partner who advises employees and managers in a professional and pragmatic way.
- You can work independently, set priorities, and handle confidential information discreetly.
- You have strong communication and organizational skills and are able to support change in a constructive way.
- You speak fluent Dutch and can express yourself professionally in English.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is €49,900.00 - €84,900.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between60,000.00 to75,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.Benefits Statement:
