About the team
You will join the Industry Quality & HSE team. Within this compact team, you will work closely with colleagues across the different departments within Industry. In this role, you are an active partner for department management and, above all, a visible point of contact on the work floor.

About your future job
As an HSE Officer, you are an important link between policy and practice. In a process and production environment, you help keep health, safety and environmental risks under control and drive continuous improvement.

A typical work week may include updating and following up on the Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E) and the related action plan for your departments. You will perform exposure assessments for hazardous substances and support workplace inspections.

Your role is both advisory and hands-on: you will truly become part of the department as an advising and facilitating HSE partner. You discuss risks and improvement opportunities with colleagues, translate HSE-related issues into clear improvement actions, and support the analysis and follow-up of incidents.

What makes this role interesting is that you will work in an environment where safety, health and environment make a real difference every day. You will have plenty of room to work independently, with short communication lines to your HSE colleagues and management.

The main tasks are:

• jointly preparing and monitoring the RI&E, action plan, and mitigating measures;
• performing exposure assessments for hazardous substances (including CMR substances, where relevant);
• carrying out workplace inspections, toolbox talks and TRAs for non-routine tasks;
• monitoring the environmental aspects register and contributing to performance improvement;
• following up on HSE incidents and supporting incident investigations;
• acting as the first point of contact for HSE-related matters.

Why you'd be a good match
We are looking for a new colleague who:

• has at least 3 years of proven experience in the HSE field, preferably in an industrial environment;
• holds IVK or MVK (Integral / Middelbare Veiligheidskunde), or can demonstrate a comparable occupational safety background;
• has proven affinity with chemical/hazardous substances and exposure assessments;
• is practical and visible in day-to-day collaboration with departments, and is used to helping build a strong HSE culture;
• has a good command of Dutch and English for communication with colleagues and alignment within the team and organization;
• is able to work independently within clear frameworks, handle a dynamic environment with flexibility, and communicate transparently.
