The HRIS Operations Administrator partners with Local Office HR, Payroll, Benefits, Technology, Finance, other business functions, and external vendors to support efficient HRIS operations while maintaining the integrity, security, and effectiveness of the Firm's HR systems.

Representative Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage the daily operational workflow of the HRIS Team, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, organizational changes, leaves of absence, and terminations.

  • Manage the intake, assessment, prioritization, assignment, and tracking of operational requests, balancing day-to-day operations with project commitments while ensuring priorities, deadlines, and expectations are met.

  • Provide daily functional direction to HR Systems team by coordinating work assignments, priorities, timelines, documentation, and deliverables, while monitoring progress and resolving operational issues.

  • Serve as the central point of coordination for the team, ensuring work is appropriately prioritized, resources are aligned, operational issues are communicated, and matters requiring leadership attention are escalated to the Director of HR Systems.

  • Review and monitor the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of team deliverables, providing operational guidance and feedback to support successful execution and compliance with Firm policies, procedures, and data standards.

  • Coordinate with the team to plan, execute, and support firmwide HR initiatives and operational programs, including employee anniversaries, Board nominations, charitable giving campaigns, policy acknowledgements, employee referral awards, and other HR Systems-led initiatives.

  • Working closely with the Director of HR Systems and HRIS Analysts, coordinate the administration and operational support of the Firm's Workday platform and related HR technologies, including system enhancements, releases, integrations, testing, implementation activities, and ongoing operational support.

  • Coordinate the preparation and delivery of HR reports, surveys, dashboards, audits, and data requests, ensuring requirements are documented and deliverables are accurate and completed on time.

  • Maintain operational dashboards and provide the Director of HR Systems with regular updates regarding workflow volume, project status, priorities, resource capacity, operational risks, and recommended actions.

  • Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Technology, Finance, and third-party vendors to coordinate operational activities, resolve issues, and support cross-functional initiatives.

  • Coordinate project planning, implementation activities, documentation, communications, training, and operational readiness for new processes, system enhancements, and firmwide initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, strengthen data quality and controls, and coordinate knowledge sharing and documentation to support consistency, continuous improvement, and business continuity.

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience

  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible professional experience in HRIS, HR technology, HR operations, enterprise systems, or a related function, including at least five years of Workday experience.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex operational workflows, multiple concurrent projects, and cross-functional deliverables in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM across multiple areas, together with experience coordinating releases, system enhancements, functional testing, User Acceptance Testing, deployments, and post-production support.

  • Experience working with third-party vendors, HR technology integrations, project plans, issue logs, service requests, and implementation schedules; professional-services or law-firm experience is preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and related project or workflow-management tools.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear functional direction, coordinate daily work, and hold individuals accountable for project and workflow commitments.

  • Excellent project management, workflow management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance operational demands and strategic initiatives.

  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build credible relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to translate business needs and complex technical concepts into clear requirements, assignments, project plans, timelines, and measurable deliverables for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Sound judgment regarding when to resolve an operational matter independently and when to escalate a performance, policy, capacity, security, or priority concern.

  • Strong customer-service orientation with a commitment to responsive, accurate, and high-quality support.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee, compensation, business, and system information.

  • Ability to work efficiently and confidentially within established human resources guidelines, data-governance requirements, and Firm policies.
