Job Description:
The HR Specialist will report to OneOncology's Manager, HR Operations and support day-to-day HR functions, helping ensure a seamless employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This role will primarily lead corporate onboarding, coordinate and support offboarding, respond to HR inquiries, support employee engagement initiatives, process employee lifecycle changes, and maintain appropriate SOPs and HR documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, curious, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently, identify gaps, anticipate downstream impacts, and take ownership of issues through resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Leads and facilitates the corporate new hire onboarding program, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure a consistent and seamless new hire experience.
- Proactively monitors onboarding activities, timelines, and stakeholder follow up to identify and resolve gaps, delays, or issues that may impact the new hire experience.
- Coordinates employee offboarding activities, including communications, processing in Workday, sending transition details, and cross-functional termination notifications.
- Supports HR programs and initiatives, including , employee engagement, recognition, HR technology, and process improvement efforts.
- Maintains HRIS records by entering new hires, promotions, and other employee lifecycle changes, and prepares HR data and reports as needed.
- Manages the HR email inbox by providing timely, accurate responses to employee and manager inquiries and escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.
- Serves as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR processes, policies, systems, benefits, and employee lifecycle matters, providing guidance and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Supports the administration of employee pulse surveys, including launch coordination, participant management, communications, reminders, and reporting support.
- Responds to employment verification requests, supports unemployment claim responses, and assists with other HR-related inquiries.
- Administers the employee education assistance program and supports related employee benefits and program inquiries.
- Prepares HR reports, trackers, and presentation materials as needed to support HR operations and leadership.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Required or Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered.
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably within HR Operations, onboarding, employee experience, or a related function.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS or HR technology platforms; Workday experience preferred.
- Experience supporting employee onboarding and/or offboarding programs strongly preferred.
