We have a current opening for a HR Generalist (Benefits & Comp Focus) for our Sacramento, CA office.

Responsibilities:

Benefits & Retirement Administration 

• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, FSA/HSA, and voluntary benefits. 

• Process enrollments, life events, eligibility changes, and terminations. 

• Support 401(k) administration, including enrollments, contribution changes, loans, and employee inquiries. 

• Assist with annual open enrollment, employee communications, and benefits education. 

• Conduct benefits audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy. 

Leave of Absence Administration  

• Coordinate leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA-related leaves, and applicable state leave programs. 

• Maintain leave records, track leave activity, and support return-to-work processes. 

• Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding leave-related questions. 

Compensation Support  

• Assist with salary benchmarking, market pricing, pay range administration, and job description maintenance. 

• Support compensation reviews, annual salary planning, and compensation-related reporting. 

• Analyze workforce, compensation, and benefits data to support HR and business decisions. 

Vendor Management & Compliance  

• Serve as a liaison with benefit carriers, brokers, retirement providers, and third-party benefit administration.  

• Assist with vendor implementations, renewals, issue resolution, and process improvements. 

• Support compliance activities related to ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and applicable leave laws. 

• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation. 

Requirements

Education & Experience  

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 

• 1-3 years of experience in benefits administration, leave administration, and compensation 

Required Skills & Abilities 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with and interpret data. 

• High attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems preferred. 

• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. 

• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. 

Safety & Physical Requirements 

• Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.  

• Must comply with all safety standards and procedures. 

• Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday. 

• Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach.  

Salary Range:

• $75,000/year - $85,000/year
• This is a exempt position.
