Job Description:

The HR Generalist will report to OneOncology's HR Director and serve as a frontline HR resource to employees and leaders across the organization. This role provides day-to-day guidance on employee relations, performance management, policies, leave and accommodation processes, and other employee lifecycle matters. The HR Generalist will independently address routine matters, support moderately complex matters in partnership with the HR Business Partners, and escalate complex, sensitive, or higher-risk matters as appropriate. This role will also collaborate with the HR Specialist and HR Operations Manager to ensure consistent, timely HR support


Responsibilities:


  • Provides day-to-day HR guidance to employees and managers regarding company policies, performance expectations workplace concerns, employee relations matters, and general HR processes; gathers relevant information, explains available options, and escalates matters outside the role's scope.
  • Manages routine employee relations matters and supports moderately complex matters in partnership with the HR Business Partners.
  • Guides managers through established performance management processes, including clarifying expectations, preparing coaching and corrective action documentation, and monitoring follow-through; consults with the HR Business Partners on complex, sensitive, or higher-risk matters.
  • Conducts routine workplace investigations, including interviews, documentation review, and factual summaries; supports the HR Business Partners with complex, sensitive, or higher-risk investigations and related next steps.
  • Serves as a point of contact for leave of absence and workplace accommodation matters, helping employees and managers understand the process, coordinating with vendors and internal partners, and escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Supports the HR Business Partners with the implementation of HRBP-led organizational initiatives and workforce changes, including coordinating communications, documentation, conducting workforce data analysis, compiling HR dashboard reports, and follow-up with employees and leaders.
  • Supports employee onboarding, offboarding, and other lifecycle activities as needed, partnering with the HR Specialist to ensure accurate and timely execution.
  • Partners with the HR Specialist to review and coordinate employee changes in Workday, ensuring documentation, approvals, and data are accurate and complete.
  • Responds to HR inquiries through the HR inbox or other intake channels, resolves issues within scope, and ensures appropriate handoff and follow-through when escalation is required.
  • Interprets and applies HR policies and practices consistently, identifies recurring questions or process gaps, and recommends improvements to guidance, tools, and standard operating procedures.
  • Supports employee engagement, retention, recognition, pulse survey, and other HR programs, including communications, action planning, and follow-up with leaders.
  • Prepares and maintains employee relations documentation, HR trackers, reports, templates, and manager resources while protecting confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Assists with unemployment claims, employment verifications, audits, compliance activities, and other HR operational needs as assigned.
  • Supports the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of employee data and records in Workday through routine audits, data validation, cleanup efforts, and ongoing collaboration with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and support effective HR operations.

  • Balances multiple priorities and responds with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Collaborates effectively across HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, and other internal teams.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve, simplify, and standardize HR processes and the employee experience.
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring the completeness and quality of employee data, records, documentation, and HR transactions.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including hands-on employee relations, performance management, HR operations, or generalist responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and the ability to apply HR policies consistently; experience supporting a multi-state workforce strongly preferred.
  • Experience conducting employee relations intake, preparing documentation, and advising managers on routine performance or conduct matters.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain accurate, objective documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS or HR technology platforms; Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • Attendance is an essential job function.
