POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Human Resources has an exciting opportunity on our HR Data and Onboarding team! We are searching for a HR Data and Onboarding Associate specifically supporting our Data Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process Human Resources and Payroll transactions into our Human Capital Management system, Workday
- Transactions processed in Workday include the following: terminations, job changes, graduate assistant appointments, compensation changes, one-time payments, supplemental pays, reappointments, add contingent workers, and background checks
- Ensuring timely processing in accordance with payroll deadlines for all employee and appointment types
- Review and verify employee records and personnel documentation to ensure compliance with University policies, state regulations, and federal requirements.
This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Sound judgment and discretion in referring inquiries to other HR staff members or units.

- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Office 365 Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Knowledgeable and understanding of Human Resources and Payroll polices, Workday, and the WorkLion Portal
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
If filled as HR Data and Onboarding Associate - Intermediate Support, this position requires: High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; Relevant education accepted in lieu of experience Required Certifications: None If filled as HR Data and Onboarding Associate - Support, this position requires: High School (HS) No prior relevant work experience required Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $36,888.00 - $58,836.00.
