- Responds to incoming telephone calls by taking messages, answering questions, and directing calls to the appropriate person or area. Greets the public and directs them to the proper area or person. Provides friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and quality customer service.
- Assists with the facilitation of New Employee Orientation and execution of employee documentation; Process and monitors job postings and websites.
- Schedules and administers applicant testing; Schedules meetings and reservations for the conference room.
- Assists with creating content for HR’s social media accounts.
- Maintains the organization of images files through OnBase.
- Supports HR-related training programs, workshops, and seminars
- May assist with processing employee action forms.
- Provides information and assistance to applicants regarding the application process and completion
- Schedules and coordinates pre-placement screening for all new hires, including drug tests, physicals, and background checks. Coordinates County’s DOT and non-DOT drug testing program.
- Assists other members of HR staff as needed.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality. Identifies process improvements and enhancements to better provide exceptional support to employees across the County.
- Coaches employees to utilize available HR Tools and Resources.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED. Some college preferred.
- 2 years of job-related experience. Knowledge of Human Resources practices is preferred.
- Working knowledge of word processing software; good computer and typing skills (minimum 35 WPM).
- Organizational skills; ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadlines and to prioritize own work.
- Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal skills.
- Good verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact and deal effectively with the public and all levels of employees.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $20.71 - $25.89 hourly based on qualifications
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
