Health Pricing Team Lead is responsible for delivering accurate, well-governed and commercially sound actuarial pricing work The role is the principal technical and delivery partner to the Health Pricing Officer, with responsibility for coordinating the team, reviewing outputs, developing capability and escalating material risks or decisions requiring officer approval.

This role combines actuarial work, quality review, project coordination and people development. The Team Lead Will turn portfolio insights into practical pricing recommendations, ensure robust documentation and controls, and help the team deliver product development, repricing and profitability initiatives on time

Position Responsibilities

1. Health pricing delivery

• Lead and coordinate pricing activities for new health products, product enhancements, repricing, portfolio actions and business opportunities of varying size and complexity.
• Develop and review premium rates, benefit structures, pricing assumptions and profitability results in consultation With Product Proposition and Development, Distribution, Finance, Risk, Operations and Other relevant teams.
• Balance profitability, competitiveness, customer value, distribution needs end long-term sustainability When developing recommendations.
• Maintain clearworkplans, dependencies and timelines; promptly escalate delays, trade -Offs and decisions to the Health Pricing Officer.
• Provide hands-on actuarial analysis and modelling support when required, particularly for complex or high-priority initiatives

2. Portfolio management and repricing

• Partner with the Experience Study and Health Analytics teams to assess claims, persistency, utilization, expenses and Other emerging portfolio experience.
• Translate experience into pricing, repricing and portfolio management options, including clear financial, customer and implementation implications.
• Monitor actual performance against pricing expectations and identify early warning indicators, emergng risks and opportunities.
• Support scenario testingand management recommendations for health portfolio actions, ensuring that assumptions, sensitivities and limitations are transparent

3. Pricing governance and quality assurance

• Ensure pricing work follows company policies, Corporate Pricing Standards, actuarial practice requirements and applicable regulatory expectations.
• Perform technical peer review of models, assumptions, calculations, profitability metrics and pricing documentation before submission to the Health Pricing Officer.
• Maintain complete and audit-ready pricing records, including methodology, data sources, approvals, model changes, sensitivities and key judgements.
• Identify, assess and communicate material pricing and portfolio risks; escalate matters requiring independent review, exception approval or senior management decision.
• Support model governance, control testing and remediation of pricing issues, With clear ownership and closure tracking

4. Product development and stakeholder partnership

• Contribute actuarial insight throughout the product development process, from concept and feasibility through approval, implementation, launch and post-launch monitoring.
• Work closely with Product Management and Distribution to shape propositions that are understandable, competitive and financially sustainable.
• Prepare concise pricing recommendations and materials for governance forums and senior stakeholders, clearly explaining choices, risks and trade-offs.
• Coordinate actuarial inputs with implementation teams to ensure approved rates, benefits and assumptions are correctly reflected in systems, policy documents and launch materials.
• Support responses to internal, regional, external auditor and regulatory queries relating to health pricing.
• Team leadership and capability building
• Coach team members through regular feedback, technical review and purposeful on -fre-job development.
• Build consistent tools, templates and ways of working that improve efficiency, transparency and knowledge retention.
• Create an environment where team members raise concerns early, challenge respectfully and learn from outcomes.
• Act as delegate for the Health Pricing Officer on agreed operational matters while respecting defined approval authorities.

5. Business planning and management support

• Support annual and periodic planning for the health business, including financial projections, sales assumptions, portfolio actions and regulatory business plan inputs.
• Coordinate With Pricing Strategy, Finance and Distribution to ensure health assumptions are consistent, explainable end aligned With company Objectives. Highlight key opportunities, sensitivities and risks in the plan, and support follow-up analysis requested by management.
• Provide timely management reporting, ad-hoc analysis and actuarial recommendations to the Health Pricing Officer and senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ActuarialScience, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline; a postgraduate degree is an advantage
• Associate actuarial qualification or meaningful progress toward fellowship from a recognized actuarial organization; fellowship is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of actuarial experience, including substantial hands-on experience in health pricing product development, repricing or portfolio management.
• Experience leading projects and reviewing the work of other actuaries; prior formal people -management experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of actuarial pricing concepts, profitability measures, financial reporting and individual health or life insurance products.
• Ability to understand complex issues, structure analysis, form sound recommendations and explain conclusions in plain language.
• Strong stakeholder management, planning and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and escalate appropriately.
• High standards of accuracy, documentation, professional judgement and integrity
