POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Information Technology is seeking a highly motivated, innovative, customer service-focused, Health Informatics Specialist with strong analytical and communication skills, an interest in healthcare technology, and some familiarity with healthcare or medical environments. The successful candidate will focus solely on supporting University Health Services (UHS) and responsible for application support of the electronic health record (EHR) and bridge the gap between healthcare and information technology.
This role will impact students by understanding and supporting ongoing changes in (UHS) clinical and business processes related to the EHR to improve patient care quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and streamline medical workflows while working closely with stakeholders at various levels.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in health informatics, information technology, nursing, or health information management preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology, EHR systems, clinical applications, or healthcare/medical environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot application issues and identify process improvements.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to learn new systems and work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Associate Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: None
LOCATION
This position follows a hybrid work model with some remote work flexibility. An on-site presence at the University Park campus may be required at times to support specific responsibilities, projects, meetings, or organizational priorities. Questions related to flexible work arrangements should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $49,188.00 - $71,340.00.
