Sobre este puesto de Head of Product & Technology (m/f/x) en Cara Care
Cara Care is a leading German digital therapeutics company and part of Bayer, combining the agility of a growth-stage health tech company with the backing, scale, and credibility of a global healthcare leader. We build DiGA-listed products that deliver measurable clinical outcomes for patients and integrate deeply into the German healthcare system. Our ambition is to become a category leader in digital care by bringing together evidence-based medicine, outstanding user engagement, and scalable, compliant technology - while shaping how digital therapeutics connect to national health infrastructure and care delivery.
We are looking for a Head of Product & Technology (m/f/x) to support us in our mission with immediate effect. In this role, you will be a key member of the Cara Care leadership team and report directly to the Managing Director of Cara Care. You will own the combined product and technology agenda across our DiGA products for IBS and GERD as well as our R&D portfolio. Your mission is to build a clinically effective, user-centric, compliant, and scalable digital therapeutics platform that strengthens Cara Care’s position as a category leader in digital care.
You combine product leadership, technical depth, and regulated healthcare expertise. You set direction, create focus, build strong teams, and ensure that product discovery, engineering delivery, data/AI capabilities, and compliance requirements work together effectively.
🚀 Your Mission
- Product and technology strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and execution across existing and future digital therapeutic offerings
- End-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and delivery to optimization, engagement, and measurable patient impact
- Engineering architecture across mobile/web frontend, backend services, data, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, and integrations
- Data and AI capabilities, including analytics, personalization, automation, experimentation, and responsible AI-enabled product features
- Translation of clinical, regulatory, reimbursement, privacy, and security requirements into pragmatic product and technology solutions
- Software-as-a-medical-device lifecycle practices, including risk management, documentation discipline, change control, audit readiness, and post-market considerations
- Operating model, delivery rhythms, decision rights, and ownership across Product, Engineering, Design, and Data/AI
- Team leadership, hiring, coaching, and development of a high-performing, accountable, and learning-oriented organization
- Senior stakeholder management across Cara Care, Bayer interfaces, external partners, healthcare ecosystem stakeholders, and relevant infrastructure initiatives
What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months
- A focused product and technology roadmap is aligned with business, clinical, regulatory, and patient outcomes
- Engineering delivery is more predictable, scalable, and transparent, with clear ownership and operating rhythms
- The platform foundation supports multiple indications, future integrations, and compliant product evolution
- Product engagement, therapy adherence, prescription activation, and patient impact are improved through data-informed iteration
- Teams have clear roles, decision rights, and development paths, and are able to operate with speed and accountability in a regulated environment
- Cara Care is prepared for audits, certification requirements, security reviews, and quality expectations by design rather than through late-stage remediation

How You Will Work
At Cara Care, you work alongside a team of physicians, researchers, developers, product specialists, and people experts who are passionate about improving people’s lives. We are inspired by our patients and driven by real-world impact. We work fast, collaborate closely, and never lose sight of wellbeing – both for our users and for ourselves.
In this role you will work in a hybrid or remote setup and collaborate closely with leadership, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, Privacy, Security, and Bayer stakeholders. The role requires the ability to combine startup-like ownership with the governance expectations of a global healthcare company. Fluency in English is required; German language skills are strongly preferred given Cara Care’s DiGA context and German healthcare ecosystem.
