Endless is a mission-driven game, learning, and technology operating initiative of Dalio Philanthropies with a bold vision: to empower people to shape technology, rather than be shaped by it. We believe the most powerful way to prepare young people for the digital world is through making games. Game creation is a uniquely engaging and scalable pathway to teach design, storytelling, collaboration, coding, AI fluency, and problem-soling skills that prepare youth not just to play in the digital economy, but to create it.

To pursue this mission, we bring together three strands of work. Through our commercial ventures, we build game creation tools, a community platform and games where youth learn by creating. Through our investments, we support companies aligned with our thesis that making is the most effective form of learning. This role will sit squarely in Endless Global and lead its philanthropic work.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Philanthropy to lead the Endless grantmaking and strategic philanthropic initiatives. This is a senior leadership role for someone with deep philanthropic or impact experience and a genuine affinity for the Endless mission. You will be responsible for program design, implementation, and evaluation, as well as the judgment to navigate and balance the needs of grantees, partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable operating at the conceptual, strategic level and rolling up their sleeves on execution.

Reporting to Endless’s Managing Director, the Head of Philanthropy will partner closely with the Principal, Endless leadership, and Dalio Philanthropies to set strategy, oversee grantmaking, develop partnerships, and lead a high-performing team focused on meaningful, measurable impact.

Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:

• Lead and evolve the Foundation's philanthropic strategy and global grantmaking portfolio.
• Lead and evolve the grants strategy in collaboration with the Principal and oversee the full lifecycle of grants, partnerships, and impact initiatives.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing philanthropy team.
• Advise senior leadership and help translate vision into actionable priorities.
• Cultivate relationships with grantees, philanthropic leaders, educators, technology innovators, and mission-aligned organizations.
• Drive collaboration across an ecosystem of partners to expand access to game-based learning and digital opportunity.
• Establish metrics, evaluate outcomes, and share insights that strengthen impact and inform future investments.
• Serve as a spokesperson and ambassador for the Endless mission.

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, attributes, and values:

• At least 15 years of experience in creative grantmaking, program strategy, and partnership building, ideally in education and technology, including demonstrated leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Passion for the power of innovation in philanthropy, such as video games as tools for education, creativity, skills development, and social change. You are well versed in and understand a range of philanthropic tools (grants, competitions, and prize-based models, ventures, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to gain subject-matter expertise quickly across a variety of areas as portfolios evolve.
• Knowledge of various philanthropic organizational structures such as c3, c4, and DAF.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams, across a range of geographic locations.
• Experience curating events in collaboration with foundations and nonprofit organizations.
• Enthusiasm for incorporating AI into both internal workflows and external goals.
• Exceptional relationship-building, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%

• Family foundations or founder-led organizations.
• International grantmaking.
• Startup, non-profit, or entrepreneurial environnements.
• AI, game-based learning, future-of-work, or education innovation ecosystems.
• CRM platforms such as Salesforce.

Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $300,000-375,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset). We offer paid time off ranging from 15 to 25 days based on years of service, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' health, financial well-being, and work-life balance.
