THE ROLE

Built for the Audacious is what we say about founders. This role exists because it has to be true about us too. You will own how Elevation shows up to founders, partners and the press: the brand, the content engine, PR, and the events and community programme. You set the editorial bar and decide what to publish & do.

We back number of companies and go all in to help them rather than spreading thin. We would want to run marketing the same way: fewer things, high bar on quality, and built at a scale others haven’t attempted.

Apart from owning the fund marketing charter, this role will also entail working closely with our portfolio companies on growth and marketing problem statements. Four to five deep engagements a year, six to eight weeks each, where you work directly with the founders and their senior leadership is broadly the way to think about this piece.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

– Brand and narrative. Positioning, house style, website and portfolio pages, and the judgement on what Elevation says in public.

– Owned media. Own and grow all our channels from LinkedIn to YouTube to X. Continue to build upon existing properties such as the monthly newsletter, the podcasts, Flagship reports and ongoing social updates.

– PR and media. The placement strategy for fund and portfolio news, embargoed announcements, journalist relationships and the posture on difficult coverage.

– Portfolio success : Lead the charter of bringing the best and entirety of Elevation Investment and Founder Success team’s capabilities to each portfolio company by working hand in glove with the Investing Partners

– Events and community. Own and build upon the rooms that we need to create to attract the best founders and create the most serendipity in the ecosystem. Retain and amplify existing properties like Basecamp as an annual franchise, Elevation Connect, the campus programme and sectoral portfolio days.

– Partnerships and co-programming. Build new partnerships as well as nurture existing partnerships with the frontier labs, global big tech companies, local breakthrough startups, and more. Joint programming, reports and credit partnership with Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, AWS, Microsoft, NVIDIA and likes.

– Team, agencies and budget. Lead a stellar team of high-agency owners as well as external agencies for PR, design, video and web, and own the fund’s marketing budget.

WHAT YOU BRING

– 10+ years of experience working with / in startups / other high growth organisations in marketing / business functions.
Ex founders preferred.

– An editor's judgement. Build long form editorial properties for a recurring audience.

– Proven work in earned media and long-form content. You have placed stories and built an audience.

– Experience running events at scale, and deep appreciation that guest list and the right room is the product.

– Daily fluency with AI tools, and the ability to make a team faster, better and more impactful with them.

– Credibility with founders and partners. You dream clearly, move quickly, close loops and execute fast.
