The energy industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation, from decarbonization and digitalization to smart grids, renewable energy, and AI-driven operations. As Head of Industry Energy, you will shape Cloudflight's growth in this sector by combining industry expertise, strategic thinking, and commercial leadership. 

You will work closely with our technology experts and delivery teams to help energy companies accelerate their digital transformation while growing Cloudflight's presence across the Energy & Utilities market. 

Responsibilities 

• defining and executing Cloudflight's go-to-market strategy for the Energy industry 

• identifying market trends, customer challenges, and emerging opportunities across the Energy & Utilities sector 

• positioning Cloudflight as a trusted digital transformation partner for energy companies through a compelling industry value proposition 

• acquiring new customers and expanding strategic relationships with existing clients across the Energy market 

• leading customer meetings, workshops, presentations, and commercial negotiations throughout the complete sales cycle 

• owning strategic bids, tenders, and complex commercial opportunities 

• creating and executing account growth strategies through cross-selling and up-selling of Cloudflight's digital services portfolio 

• driving sustainable revenue growth while owning pipeline management, forecasting, pricing strategy, and commercial performance for the industry 

• building strong partnerships with technology vendors, industry associations, and strategic ecosystem partners 

• representing Cloudflight at industry conferences, customer events, and thought leadership initiatives 

• collaborating closely with consulting, engineering, and delivery teams to develop customer-centric solutions and ensure successful project execution 

• defining and tracking commercial KPIs while maintaining a high-quality sales pipeline in HubSpot 

Requirements 

• several years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or commercial leadership within the Energy, Utilities, Renewables, or related industries 

• a strong understanding of current industry trends such as energy transition, smart grids, digital utilities, renewable energy, asset management, or AI-enabled operations 

• a proven track record of acquiring new customers and growing strategic accounts in a B2B environment 

• experience selling complex digital transformation, software, consulting, or IT services 

• the ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders while building long-term customer relationships 

• strong commercial acumen with experience in pipeline management, forecasting, pricing, and business planning 

• an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building new business and identifying market opportunities 

• excellent communication and negotiation skills combined with a collaborative, cross-functional working style 

• fluency in English; German is considered a strong advantage 

• willingness to travel to customers, industry events, and Cloudflight locations as needed

​Austria: The law stipulates that the minimum wage must be specified in job postings. The minimum salary is €64.554 gross/year in the collective agreement. Adequate to your skills, we are willing to pay much more.
