We are searching for an experienced Head of Growth to lead new business development at Code3. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating, developing and closing new client opportunities while building relationships with senior marketers, platform partners and industry leaders. You’ll bring a strong understanding of media, marketing and client business challenges to every conversation—acting as a strategic partner rather than a traditional salesperson. Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, you’ll work closely with Marketing, Client Partnership, Activation and executive leadership to turn Code3’s capabilities, expertise and relationships into meaningful growth. This is a hands-on commercial leadership role for a proven seller who can build pipeline, lead complex sales processes and help Code3 win the clients we most want to work with.
What you’ll do:
- Own new-logo revenue goals and build a healthy, qualified pipeline of opportunities aligned to Code3’s growth priorities
- Proactively originate new business through your network, strategic outreach, referrals, industry relationships, platform partners and priority-account pursuit
- Build and deepen relationships with senior marketers and decision-makers before an active RFP or agency review exists
- Lead the full sales process from initial relationship and discovery through opportunity qualification, pitch strategy, proposal development, negotiation and close
- Partner with Client Partnership, Activation and subject matter experts to diagnose prospect challenges and develop differentiated strategies that demonstrate the value Code3 can create
- Work closely with Marketing to define priority accounts, identify intent and engagement signals, and translate Code3’s marketing efforts into active commercial opportunities
- Maintain and deepen relationships with key platform and technology partners to create referral, co-selling and new business opportunities for Code3
- Bring discipline to pipeline management, forecasting and Salesforce, ensuring leadership has a clear view of opportunities, next steps, probability and expected revenue
- Continuously strengthen Code3’s new business approach by bringing market intelligence, competitive insight and feedback from prospects back into the agency
Who will love this role:
- A natural relationship builder who genuinely enjoys meeting senior marketers, understanding their businesses and creating opportunities long before an RFP hits the market
- A strategic seller who understands media and marketing deeply enough to lead a sophisticated client conversation without relying on a capabilities deck
- A proven hunter who can point to business you personally originated—not simply pitches you participated in or opportunities handed to you
- An engaging storyteller with strong executive presence who can connect Code3’s capabilities and expertise to the business challenges facing prospective clients
- A collaborative, low-ego leader who can bring together strategists, media experts, creatives and executives to create a winning pitch while remaining accountable for moving the opportunity forward
You should have:
- BA or BS degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, media, client partnership, strategy, business development or agency growth, ideally within an integrated, media, performance or digital agency
- A proven track record of personally originating, developing and closing meaningful new business and achieving or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong existing relationships with senior marketers, platform partners and/or other industry leaders, with the ability to create conversations and opportunities through your network
- Deep understanding of modern media and marketing, ideally developed through experience in media planning, strategy, activation, client partnership or account leadership
- Experience leading complex agency sales cycles, including discovery, qualification, RFPs, pitch strategy, commercial negotiations and close
- Ability to translate client business challenges into strategic opportunities and connect Code3’s capabilities across media, creative, commerce, data and technology to those needs
- Outstanding relationship-building, storytelling, communication and executive presence
- Strong commercial judgment, pipeline discipline and experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM to manage forecasting and sales activity
- A bias toward action and comfort operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment where you will be expected to both build relationships and personally drive opportunities forward
