Job Description
- The LEGO Group is building a brown field site in Monterrey. Do you want to be part of this exciting new opportunity? The role is ideal for someone who has strong civil MEPF and construction project experience and who wants to be a part of creating this fantastic new factory in an exciting new location for LEGO.
Core Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Head of Global Workplace Projects LEGO Operaciones de Mexico (GWP LOM) and Program Lead for LOM.
- Working closely with the Construction Team, Sr. Controls Manager, and Stream Owners for LOM Construction of this new brown field in Mexico.
- Proactively review Project and Program Schedules, completion lists, punch list, MEPF commissioning reports, BMS reports, quality control reports and follow up with relevant stakeholders (top priorities for this role).
- Project coordination with project stream owners, construction team, program team, and internal /external stakeholders.
- Will be required on site full time to ensure construction is progressing on-time, with no EHS issues, quality concerns and progressing well.
- Working closely with the General Contractor to ensure project milestones of the factory are met including interim milestones required for LEGO access, install, implementation, and startup work.
- Working closely with owner commissioning agent and engineering consultants to ensure building systems are installed correctly, started up properly, and on time.
- Proactively lead the handover of completed spaces and/or buildings to LEGO Equipment Install and Operations teams
- Secure final BIM coordinated As Build drawings and Models are handed over to Operations.
- Manage Dalux as our main Document and Model Control platform.
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience as Project Manager or Project Engineer on Construction projects – especially according to Site Management, Quality Assurance, Following up, Handover and Reporting.
- Experience from working in international/multinational companies will be preferred.
- Knowledge in legal and commercial aspects within building industry.
