Responsibilities  & Knowledge : 

• Set up and tear down of the saw.  
• Run the saw with maximum speed, slicing yield, and percent acceptable products. 
• Perform minor maintenance on saw to include changing of blades and cleaning the saw to keep it running efficiently.  
• Perform necessary paperwork and process control checks.  
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department. 
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.  
• Perform all positions of job rotation as needed. 
• Perform any other work as assigned by management.  
• Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). 
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. 
• Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and accurately and record/report product information into the computer as required. 
• Ability and willingness to scan or input into the computer system all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including changeovers. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

• Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on to a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.  
• Ability and willingness to reach high and low levels, frequently.  
• Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently. 
• Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater, frequently. 
• Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs. 
• Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours. 
• Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees. 

Preferred Skills:  

• Machine Operator experience preferred  
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred  
• RF Scanner experience preferred 

Qualifications:  

• 3 months of work history with the same employer
