As a Global Mobility Specialist at Caterpillar, you will play a key role in supporting international assignments and employee relocations across the Europe, Africa, Middle East (EAME) region. Partnering closely with employees, leaders, HR colleagues, and external service providers, you will help deliver a seamless mobility experience while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

In this role, you will provide expert guidance on relocation and mobility programs, manage relationships with external vendors, support policy development and program administration, and use data and market insights to recommend improvements. You will thrive in a fast-paced, global environment where customer focus, attention to detail, stakeholder management, and problem-solving are essential to success.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Administer international assignment and relocation programs across the EAME region, ensuring consistent application of mobility policies and processes.

• Providing guidance on mobility programs and relocation support to employees, supervisors, and HR partners.

• Manage relationships with relocation management companies and external vendors to deliver a high-quality relocation experience.

• Coordinate mobility services including policy counseling, cost estimates, reporting, allowance payments, expense reimbursements, compensation data accumulation for tax equalization/filing, arrangements of immigration, household goods shipments, transportation, housing, dependent education, and language and cultural training.

• Review mobility policy exception requests and provide recommendations based on policy intent, business impact, and precedent.

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global mobility policies, programs, and processes.

• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and analysis of mobility benefits, allowances, and industry practices to support program effectiveness and competitiveness.

• Monitor regulatory developments and market trends affecting employee mobility and recommend appropriate program adjustments.

• Lead and support regional and global mobility projects, including process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

• Analyze mobility and Total Rewards data to provide insights and recommendations that support business and talent objectives.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of global mobility, relocation, compensation and benefits principles.

• Understanding of immigration, tax, and compliance considerations associated with international assignments across the EAME region.

• Knowledge of data privacy requirements and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering an exceptional employee and stakeholder experience.

• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple levels of the organization.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when managing employee data, policies, and relocation activities.

• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate complex situations and make sound recommendations.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external partners.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems, including Workday.

Experience

• Proven experience within Human Resources, preferably in Global Mobility, International Assignments, Relocation, Immigration, Compensation & Benefits, or a related Total Rewards function.

• Experience administering employee programs and partnering with employees, managers, HR teams, and external vendors.

• Experience interpreting policies and balancing employee needs with business requirements while ensuring policy compliance.

• Experience managing multiple cases or projects concurrently within a global and matrixed environment.

• Full professional proficiency in English. Additional European language skills would be advantageous.
