We are looking for an experienced, inspirational and values-driven General Manager to lead our thriving Newcastle-under-Lyme village on a 12-month maternity cover basis.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for creating a positive, safe and high-performing environment for residents, customers, families and colleagues. You will provide strategic direction across the village, ensuring excellent standards of care, strong operational performance and an exceptional customer experience, whilst championing Belong's values and culture every day.

As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the village, working closely with operational, clinical, quality, finance, HR and support teams to ensure services are safe, compliant, financially sustainable and genuinely person-centred.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and collaborative leader who can bring vision, energy and strong operational expertise to support both the immediate success and long-term development of the village.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Providing overall leadership and management of the Newcastle-under-Lyme village.
• Developing, supporting and inspiring a high-performing management team.
• Ensuring outstanding standards of care, hospitality, wellbeing and customer experience.
• Creating and sustaining a positive, inclusive and values-led culture.
• Leading operational performance across occupancy, budgets, staffing, quality and service delivery.
• Working in partnership with the Registered Support Manager and Clinical Leadership Team to ensure safe, effective and person-centred care.
• Building trusted relationships with residents, tenants, families, commissioners, regulators and community stakeholders.
• Ensuring robust governance, safeguarding, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Driving colleague engagement, recruitment, retention and workforce development.
• Championing Belong's innovative household model and ensuring it is consistently embedded in practice.
• Supporting the ongoing mobilisation, growth and long-term success of the Newcastle-under-Lyme service.

About You

You'll be an experienced operational leader with a proven track record of managing complex services and leading high-performing teams. You will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences and creating environments where people can thrive.

You will bring:

• Significant leadership and management experience within health, social care, housing, hospitality or a similarly regulated environment.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach and develop teams.
• Experience managing budgets, service performance and operational delivery.
• A thorough understanding of governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• A commitment to person-centred services and values-led leadership.
• The confidence and resilience to lead through change whilst maintaining high standards of performance and care.
