About Xsens & BSN
Xsens is a leading provider of motion sensors, software, and analytics that enable the digitization of movement serving entertainment, sports performance, industrial automation, and increasingly, humanoid robotics. The BSN (Body Sensor Network) division sells full-body motion capture systems that create a "digital twin" of human movement, combining hardware, software, and a recurring revenue model. Customers range from entertainment studios and university research labs to industrial ergonomics leaders and the rapidly expanding humanoid robotics sector.

The Opportunity
Having just completed a successful two-and-a-half-year operational and product turnaround, Xsens is now growing, profitable, and well-capitalized. We're looking for an experienced, results-driven Line of Business Director to take full P&L ownership of BSN and drive its next phase of growth. Acting as the "CEO of the business unit," with a particular focus on scaling the fast-growing humanoid robotics segment.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a P&L-owning, general-manager-style role overseeing a division of approximately 30 FTE across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Growth & Business Development, alongside Customer Support. Engineering remains a separate function reporting to the CEO, so the role requires building deep trust and close collaboration with engineering leadership without formal authority bridging the current divide between Sales and Engineering around shared priorities and realistic execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own BSN's P&L and drive growth, with particular focus on scaling humanoid robotics
• Build trust and close working relationships with Engineering leadership
• Own the product-commercial integration for BSN, connecting customer and market requirements directly to engineering priorities and roadmap decisions
• Coach and develop a young, energetic team
• Make clear, decisive product and go-to-market choices
• Represent BSN to the CEO and wider organization with independent judgment

Requirements

• Proven senior leadership experience in a high-tech, industrial B2B environment, including full P&L responsibility
• A leader who has earned trust through visible, hands-on involvement, not through credentials or title
• Strong product/engineering fluency, or direct product management experience
• Track record of scaling a business unit and professionalizing commercial processes
• Experience navigating the transition from hardware-centric to software/recurring-revenue business models
• Down-to-earth, non-hierarchical leadership style
• Adjacent high-tech B2B backgrounds (e.g., automotive ADAS, industrial/heavy equipment) are a strong fit
• Private equity-backed company experience is a plus; Dutch language skills are a plus
