We are looking for a skilled, professional Forensic Evaluator, Psychologist. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical care to adult patients with mental illness at Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), an inpatient, 250-bed, Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital that is run by NE DHHS and is located in Lincoln, NE.
LRC serves people who need very specialized psychiatric services and provides services to people who require a highly structured treatment setting because of mental illness.

This position will be responsible for completing court-ordered evaluations, including competence, insanity, and risk assessments, at the Lincoln Regional Center. Knowledge of relevant statutes and case law is necessary. Testimony regarding expert opinions will be required.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice psychology in the state of Nebraska or eligible to obtain a provisional license. A doctoral degree in psychology is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting competency to stand trial, insanity, and risk assessment evaluations.
- Knowledge of relevant Nebraska statutes and case law.
- Experience offering court testimony and capable of being qualified as an expert witness in Nebraska in the relevant areas.
Other: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Candidates provisionally licensed will be considered.
Starting pay rate: Negotiable
Work schedule:
Work Schedule: Typical work schedule will be Monday Thru Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Schedule can be a combination of in-person and hybrid.
