We are currently seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to join our team, based in our Bowling Green, OH location. 

Responsible for following and conducting robust Food Safety & Quality systems and programs; audits and checks, the FSQA Technician will report to the FSQA Manager and work with them as a team to ensure NuProduce Solutions is meeting or exceeding internal standards, customer’s expectation and government compliance requirements.

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10am to done. W/rotating Saturdays (Days and hours are subject to change; may include weekends)
Salary: $18-20 per hour depending on experience

Essential Functions:

• Ensure continuous improvement and adequacy of quality and food safety systems to support end to end compliance meeting regulatory, business, and customer expectations (e.g., product complaint, recall, quality management system).
• Understand processes and programs for Food Safety to ensure regulatory compliance, including those utilized by NuProduce Solutions (e.g., Food Safety plans, Preventive Control plans, Produce HACCP plans).  
• Chemical preparation & titration verifications. 
• Understand and perform HACCP, GMP, SOP, SSOP, EM duties as necessary to meet government and company regulations. 
• Supports programs and processes to ensure compliance with governmental regulations. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, email and internet software applications.  
• Knowledge of Inventory Management Systems and reporting software applications preferred.
• One year quality assurance experience in the food/produce industry in one of the following fields: Produce, RTE, Red Meat, Seafood, Poultry, Pork, Lamb.
• Food HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense knowledge is an asset.

• Desktop or laptop computer.
• Networked printer/ copier/ scanner.
• Google Applications (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)
• Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer) 
• Department-specific equipment
