About the Role
This position requires the incumbent to support daily treasury operations, bank account administration, SWIFT maintenance, and SAP Treasury activities to ensure the smooth execution of funding transactions, banking administration, and compliance with internal controls across AIA Malaysia entities. These tasks include treasury activities in AIA Malaysia entities that are outsourced to AIA Bhd.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Daily Treasury Operations
· Prepare and/ or review daily operational funding activities, including FX transactions and high-volume treasury transactions, in accordance with internal established Standard Operating procedures and bank cut-off timelines prior to approval by Manager and authorised signatories.
· Perform Preparer or Verifier roles for treasury transactions via online banking platforms and/ or Treasury Management Systems (TMS).
· Monitor cash balances and ensure timely completion of treasury transactions following authorised signatories’ approvals and ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
· Prepare and/ or review Treasury-related journals and transaction records for accurate and timely posting into SAP.
· Prepare and/ or review intercompany and intracompany fund transfers to ensure accurate execution and recording.
· Maintain operational knowledge and provide backup support across Treasury functions, as required.
SWIFT Administration
· Support SWIFT setup, maintenance, testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
· Coordinate SWIFT documentation, connectivity requirements and operational matters with banks and internal stakeholders.
· Support periodic SWIFT reviews, attestations and corporate information updates for management review and approval.
· Assist in resolving SWIFT-related operational issues and enquiries.
SAP Treasury Support
· Assist in SAP Treasury master data maintenance and system-related activities.
· Support system enhancements, testing, and issue resolution relating to Treasury operations.
Bank Account Administration
· Coordinate bank account rationalisation and maintenance initiatives, including documentation for the opening, closure, and modification of bank accounts.
· Prepare banking documentations, including KYC documentations, authorised signatories updates, and online banking access administration for Manager’s sign-off.
· Maintain accurate records of banking arrangements and ensure documentation is updated on a timely basis.
· Liaise with banks and internal stakeholders on account-related, operational, and cash management matters.
Treasury Governance & Process Improvement
· Ensure compliance with Treasury policies, regulatory requirements, operating procedures, and internal controls.
· Support Treasury process optimisation, automation initiatives, system enhancement projects, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Treasury-related initiatives.
· Support internal and external audits and maintain Treasury documentation.
Perform ad hoc assignments and projects as directed by the Manager.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Treasury, Cash Management or Banking Operations, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Knowledge of cash management, liquidity management, funding, foreign exchange (FX), Treasury operations and Treasury systems (SAP/TMS).
- Hands-on experience with SWIFT, banking connectivity and automation tools such as Power Automate, VBA, Python, SQL, Alteryx and Power BI is an advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Able to work effectively under tight timelines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
