Sobre este puesto de Finance Intern - Automation en Aleph
We are looking for a curious, tech-savvy and creative Finance Process Automation Intern to join our Finance team in Cairo.
This is not a traditional accounting internship. We are looking for someone with a background in IT, Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related field who is interested in understanding how finance processes work and finding smarter, more efficient ways of doing them.
You will work closely with the Finance team across the MENA and Africa regions, supporting the transformation of existing reconciliation, reporting and operational processes through technology, automation and improved systems.
What you'll do
- Review existing Finance processes, particularly around revenue recognition, partner relationship management and reconciliations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Help the Finance team move away from manual Excel- and BigQuery-based processes towards more efficient and automated solutions.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new reconciliation tools, ERP systems and AI-assisted solutions.
- Analyse data received from partners and third parties and help identify discrepancies, gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
- Explore ways to automate recurring reports, templates and other manual Finance activities.
- Help design and improve processes so they can be replicated across other markets and regions.
- Work with Finance and other internal teams to understand existing workflows and translate them into practical system or automation improvements.
- Document processes and contribute to creating a roadmap for future process improvements and regional expansion.
- Bring fresh ideas and challenge existing ways of working where a more efficient approach may be possible.
- Support the team with day-to-day Finance activities where required, while maintaining a strong focus on process improvement and automation.
What you need for this role
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably in your senior/final year.
- Studying IT, Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in technology, systems, automation, data and process improvement.
- Basic understanding of Finance or Accounting concepts. You do not need to be an Accounting major, but should understand fundamental concepts such as debits, credits and accruals.
- Comfortable working with data and systems, with good general system knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and challenge existing processes.
- A self-starter who can take a problem or situation and think through possible solutions independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English.
- Comfortable working in a flexible, hybrid environment.
