Join Axos Bank’s immersive 12-week Summer Internship Program to gain hands-on experience, contribute to enterprise initiatives, and develop professional skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment. Along with your day-to-day job duties, you will take part in a capstone project, sessions with our business leaders, financial literacy training courses, Corporate Finance Institute trainings, and a volunteer day. Interns choose between one of two sessions.

Session 1: May 25 - August 13
Session 2: June 14 - September 3

The Finance Internship at Axos offers hands-on experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting within a technology-driven environment. Interns will learn how modern banking leverages data and automation to manage financial operations and support strategic decisions. This role is ideal for students interested in fintech, corporate finance, and digital banking innovation.

The intern will support the Investments/Treasury team across a range of analytical and process-improvement activities. Responsibilities will include reviewing and documenting existing process maps and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency and standardization, and assisting in the creation and maintenance of recurring and ad hoc reporting for the team. The intern will gain exposure to fixed income securities analysis, derivatives, and related investment processes, working alongside analysts to understand how the Bank evaluates and monitors its investment portfolio. A key component of the role will involve leveraging finance and AI-based software tools to support and optimize these processes — including using AI tools for data analysis, reporting automation, and process documentation — giving the intern practical experience with how technology is applied in modern finance functions. Throughout the internship, the intern will have the opportunity to work on real projects supporting the Treasury team's day-to-day operations, providing a well-rounded introduction to institutional investment analysis, financial processes, and applied AI in finance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing financial statements, performance metrics, and financial projection reports.
• Prepare dashboards and presentations for leadership using digital tools.
• Support the development of financial models for revenue projections and expense management.
• Help update and maintain forecasting tools used in a fast-paced online banking environment.
• Work with large datasets to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to integrate financial data into decision-making processes.
