Position Overview:

Are you an experienced mining leader who thrives in a customer-facing environment? Do you have a strong background supervising maintenance teams in a large-scale mining operation?

Finning is seeking two Field Service Supervisors to lead teams of skilled technicians supporting our customers. In this role you will oversee the safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and reliability of a fleet of 797 haul trucks, while building strong customer relationships and driving operational excellence.

Schedule: 14x14 shift rotation

We anticipate the base salary for this position will be between $120,000 - $130,000. Actual salary will be based on the candidate's experience.

Job Description:

• Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all safety standards, procedures, and compliance requirements are understood and consistently followed.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians through recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and ongoing mentorship.
• Spend the majority of your time in the field supporting technicians and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate and allocate resources, tooling, and personnel to support planned maintenance and repair activities on CAT 797 haul trucks.
• Conduct pre-job, mid-job, and post-job reviews to ensure scope, quality, productivity, and customer expectations are achieved.
• Provide technical guidance and support to quickly resolve complex equipment, tooling, and parts-related issues.
• Build strong customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day field service operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of service reports, job documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Caterpillar mining equipment, with experience on CAT 797 haul trucks considered a strong asset.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams in a mining or heavy equipment environment.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively lead frontline employees and customer interactions.
• Solid understanding of Caterpillar products, warranty processes, product health programs, and service operations.
• Experience working within a unionized environment, including knowledge of collective agreements, performance management, and employee relations practices.
• Advanced proficiency with Caterpillar SIS and working knowledge of SIMSi, SIMS, DSN, and DPSS.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
