The opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Field Service Engineer and be an expert. This role allows you to gain in-depth knowledge of the specific market and provide our clients with the best-in-class product. How you’ll make an impact
1. You will perform on-site installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of HITACHI ENERGY products and systems, including but not limited to transformers, switchgear, power quality solutions, and control systems.
2. You will conduct routine and preventative maintenance activities on customer equipment to maximize operational efficiency and extend asset lifespan.
3. You will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, provide effective solutions, and restore system functionality in a timely manner.
4. You will provide technical support and training to customers on product operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
5. You will prepare detailed service reports, document all work performed, and maintain accurate records of equipment status and maintenance history.
6. You will collaborate with internal teams, including sales, project management, and engineering, to ensure seamless project execution and customer support.
7. You will adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards during all field service activities.
8. You will participate in on-call rotation and be available for emergency service requests as needed.

9. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, installation, and maintenance of power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial automation.
3. Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power electronics, control systems, and relevant industry standards.
4. Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for complex electrical and mechanical systems.
5. Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal) to interact with customers and international teams.
6. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Taiwan and occasionally internationally.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging field environments.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude.
