Job Purpose:
- The Data Project Manager is responsible for establishing, defending, and evolving the client data foundation to support high quality and informed business decision making process. This role is central to ensuring high-quality data, automation of dashboards via visualization tools and nurturing business users’ community, with the clear guardrails of data governance.
Key Responsibility:
Enhance and enrich Data Foundation
- Proactively collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define, refine and prioritize the backlog of data related initiatives aimed at strengthening and enhancing the organization's data foundation that aligned with evolving organizational strategies and objectives
- Oversee the end-to-end process of client data ingestion, integration, and cleansing, ensuring that data is accurate, timely, and fit for purpose
- Be the advisor for upstream client-data capture touchpoints (i.e. clientelling tools, points of sales/services, etc.) and provide recommendations on the data capture structure, data use cases, etc, to pre-empt “garbage in and garbage out”
Defend Client Data Quality & Stewardship
- Serve as the client data domain owner by taking full responsibility of safeguarding client data quality and data/dashboard access control
- Lead and inspire the client data stewardship community, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence in data management. This includes developing best practices, facilitating compliance with regulatory standards, and ensuring that data assets remain reliable, consistent, and trustworthy for all stakeholders.
Deliver Data Visualization & Dashboards via Automation
- Design and implement impactful data visualization solutions and dashboards by using different tools such as PowerBI
- Collect automated/self-served dashboards requirements and prioritize pipeline for on-time and on-quality delivery
- Organize and facilitate dashboard user training sessions, promote self-service analytics capabilities, and serve as the central point of contact for new requests, enhancements, and frequently asked questions
Lead/Support Transveral Data Projects
- Support and take the lead of data projects as required. This includes but is not limited to global and regional data projects, and cross-team Fashion data project, from requirement validation, backlog mgmt., UAT, development of release notes, and user training, and further enhancement
- Work closely with digital clientelling/solution teams on delivering client activation initiatives, with support from data foundation, client360 and performance analysis
Build & Support Client Data Community
- Develop and nurture the client data community via a wide range of business users incl. Merchandizing, Retail, Boutique, etc.
- Democratize access to data and analytics across domains, empowering users at all levels to leverage data for improved decision-making.
What you can bring to the team
Key Requirements & Competencies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 8 years specializing in data management, data governance or related roles
- IT/Data consulting background will be a strong plus
- Proven track record of managing end-to-end data processes, familiarity with data quality and governance frameworks, advanced proficiency with data visualization tools, and solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing
- Strong Project Management Skill: Experience overseeing multiple data initiatives simultaneously, with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent Stakeholder Engagement Skill: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both IT and business stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and drive consensus
- Skilled in organizing and conducting user training sessions and promoting data literacy
- Strong analytical mindset with the capability to diagnose data issues, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
