About the Role:
As the Facilities Technician Lead, your primary responsibility will be to utilize advanced skills in performing complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, you will also monitor the operations and performance of building systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and maintaining a safe working environment. Additionally, as the Facilities Engineering Lead, you will apply multiple trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
Responsibilities:
Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure equipment operation is within design capabilities and achieves the environmental conditions specified by clients
Maintain a well-organized inventory of essential supplies and tools, while proactively ordering additional materials as needed, to ensure completion of tasks
Drive the preventive maintenance program, ensuring that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life
Identify deficiencies in building equipment and/or end-of-life periods and report recommendations to the Facilities Manager
Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance tasks efficiently
Ensure accurate and timely completion of maintenance and repair records in accordance with requirements
Respond promptly to emergency situations, requesting additional assistance when needed
Coordinate and effectively manage preventive maintenance schedules for team members and contractors
Meet project deadlines with attention to detail, accuracy, and within the allocated budget
Provide oversight and conduct inspections of work carried out by external contractors
Assign work orders to Level 1 & 2 technicians and subcontractors, and provide them with technical and procedural training as needed
Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to review and approve repair and maintenance proposals
Maintain safe working environments by adhering to OSHA and company standards
Qualifications:
A minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operating and maintaining building equipment
Working knowledge of Mechanical and Fire Systems
Experience working with CMMS or related work order management systems
Experience working with Google Chrome, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
Proficiency in English
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
