Keep Our Facility Running Safely and Reliably

GVC II is looking for a hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of our Bronx facility.

This role is a strong fit for someone with broad maintenance experience who is comfortable troubleshooting and repairing a variety of building systems. You’ll work across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and other facility components while helping ensure our location remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair facility components and systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, and other building equipment
• Inspect and test equipment and perform preventive maintenance
• Complete mechanical work and minor repairs on facility systems and equipment
• Install new components and systems as needed
• Perform general facility maintenance and upkeep
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
• Properly handle and dispose of non-hazardous and hazardous liquid and solid waste
• Operate tools and equipment safely and appropriately
• Identify maintenance concerns and communicate repair needs to management
• Support additional facility-related projects and maintenance needs as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of maintenance or repair experience preferred
• Broad knowledge of general maintenance and repair work
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs across multiple facility systems
• Experience safely operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Strong focus on workplace safety
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed
• Electrician or welding license/certification is a plus
