Purpose:
To design complex end-to-end technology solutions that translate business requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, and integrated architectures aligned with enterprise technology strategy and architecture standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end solution architectures for complex business and technology initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into application, integration, data, infrastructure, and security architecture.
- Define solution components, interfaces, technology patterns, and integration approaches.
- Design payment flows and platform solutions across schemes, partners, and core systems.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and technology standards.
- Ensure architectures satisfy SAMA regulatory, data residency, and audit requirements.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy options and assess vendor solutions against business and technical requirements.
- Conduct architecture assessments and identify technical risks, dependencies, and constraints.
- Design for high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery in payment-critical systems.
- Review technical designs and implementations for alignment with approved architecture.
- Present and defend solution designs in architecture governance forums.
- Guide engineering teams through solution design and implementation across multiple squads.
- Support modernization, scalability, resilience, and technology optimization initiatives.
- Maintain architecture documentation, solution diagrams, and records of technical decisions.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years in software engineering and architecture, including end-to-end solution ownership.
- Strong breadth across application, integration, data, cloud, and security architecture.
- Hands-on background as a senior engineer before moving into architecture.
- Payments or banking experience, with knowledge of card schemes, ISO 8583/20022, and national payment rails.
- Professional Certificates (TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification preferred).
