ESTIMATOR

Short Description: We currently have an opening as an Estimator who will report to the Estimating Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW: As an Estimator at Apache, you will be responsible for all aspects of bidding a project, including labor, time, and materials requirements, to determine overall project cost. This role drives profitability through comprehensive cost estimating.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:

• Interpreting and analyzing contract documents, including terms, specifications, clarifications, and requirements, to prepare estimates and bid proposals
• Estimating the majority of work for the region or business line, including target projects and owners lists, and managing bid flow
• Reading and interpreting complex specifications and drawings

• Collaborating with team members, leaders, and other departments
• Managing priorities and completing tasks in a timely manner
• Supporting a professional, safe, and productive work environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience reading isometric drawings
• 3+ years of experience estimating industrial services lines of business

Preferred

• 5+ years of industrial services experience

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team initiatives with both internal and external teammates
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands as required for the position
• Ability to work primarily in an office or professional work environment
