About the Role & Program
Working at ESPN means helping shape how sports fans experience the biggest moments in sports across every platform. From breaking news and live events to studio shows and original storytelling, ESPN reaches millions of fans each day through social media, television, streaming, and digital platforms.
We are looking for interns to join our exciting teams supporting ESPN Programming or ESPN Content Operation! Each role offers unique opportunities to contribute to meaningful work. Candidates may be considered for more than one opportunity based on skills and experience.
The approximate dates for this internship are January – May 2027.
What You Will Do
ESPN Programming
As an ESPN Programming Intern, you'll join a team responsible for creating, acquiring, and scheduling premier content that engages fans and maximizes audience reach across platforms. In this role, you'll support the planning and scheduling of live sporting events, conduct research and analysis, and help develop presentations.
ESPN Content Operation
As an ESPN Content Operations Intern, you'll join a team that plays a critical role in every broadcast. In this role, you'll gain exposure to the technical and business sides of live sports production by supporting planning efforts, operating studio and control room equipment, and participating in team meetings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Previous internship or on-campus involvement in television production or control room environment
Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects
Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
Experience working in a professional business or office setting
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Solid sports knowledge across professional and collegiate leagues
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and/or Smartsheet
Education
Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Communication, Sports Media or related major preferred
Recruitment Timeline
Applicants will receive updates throughout the selection process, with communications taking place between October and November.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Able to provide own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship program in the Bristol, CT area
Fully available from Monday through Friday, 40 hours each week
