THE ROLE
Drive the mission-critical quality strategy for the industry’s most innovative, high-performance storage array platform. In this pivotal engineering leadership role, you will scale systems testing, feature interoperability, and test automation to ensure zero-downtime resilience for global enterprise applications. Partnering directly with cross-functional development, support, and escalation engineering teams, you will champion a customer-first quality model across physical hardware and cloud-native environments (Cloud Block Store, CloudSnap). This position elevates product reliability and shapes how cutting-edge software resilience is delivered at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-
Define & Execute Quality Strategy: Ownership of end-to-end system test designs, focusing on feature interoperability at scale to guarantee zero-downtime performance across enterprise and cloud environments.
-
Build High-Impact Automation & Tooling: Design and deploy automated test workflows and triage tooling to accelerate defect detection, drastically reducing execution friction across thousands of automated test suites.
-
Real-World Customer Simulation: Replicate complex customer deployment architectures and enterprise application workflows to validate real-world resilience, fault tolerance, and resilience against failure domains.
-
Root-Cause Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Partner directly with escalation and support teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve complex defects, utilizing customer feedback loops to eliminate quality gaps.
-
Agile Engineering Leadership: Mentor and guide engineering teams in short-cycle Agile/Scrum practices, maintaining high release velocity while upholding rigorous software delivery standards.
WHAT YOU BRING
-
Technical & People Leadership: Demonstrated capability leading engineering teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) while maintaining active technical engagement in systems-level architecture.
-
Systems Software Mastery: Deep technical foundation in systems software development (such as C, C++, Golang or Java) with a focus on fault-tolerant architecture and distributed systems.
-
End-to-End Quality Expertise: Expert understanding of modern software quality methodologies, system test design, automated workflow creation, and root-cause defect analysis.
-
Agile Delivery & Customer Focus: Track record of fostering responsive, short-cycle Agile (Scrum) environments that transform customer feedback directly into proactive quality enhancements.
-
Analytical Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical ability to isolate complex edge-case defects paired with clear cross-functional collaboration skills.
