About the role
As a Network Engineer Senior, you will lead the delivery and support of enterprise network services for global customers. You will manage complex Software-Defined Wide Area Network deployments, branch cutovers, network migrations and technology refresh projects. You will also serve as an escalation point for critical network incidents while helping maintain reliable connectivity to hosted applications and services.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, deployment and support of enterprise wide area network, local area network and Software-Defined Wide Area Network solutions.
- Configure, upgrade and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless infrastructure and VeloCloud network appliances.
- Lead branch cutovers, network migrations, technology refreshes and network lifecycle-management projects.
- Resolve complex network incidents and coordinate solutions with customers, telecommunications providers, technology vendors and internal teams.
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers while maintaining network documentation, implementation plans, technical standards and operational procedures.
What you bring
Required qualifications
- Five to eight years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise wide area networks, local area networks, Software-Defined Wide Area Networks and network infrastructure.
- Strong experience deploying, operating and troubleshooting VeloCloud Software-Defined Wide Area Network environments and Cisco Meraki solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol, dynamic and static routing, virtual local area networks, switching, network segmentation and route redistribution.
- Experience troubleshooting network circuits, connectivity and performance issues, including network address translation, firewall policies and authentication controls.
- Strong incident-management, project-leadership and communication skills, with experience working directly with customers and technical stakeholders
- Skills needed
- Software-Defined Wide Area Network design, deployment, operations and troubleshooting, particularly VeloCloud
- Enterprise wide area network and local area network technologies
- Cisco Meraki, Cisco routing and switching, routers, switches and wireless infrastructure
- Border Gateway Protocol, dynamic routing, static routing and route redistribution
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, virtual local area networks, switching and network segmentation
- Network address translation, firewall policies, authentication, authorization and accounting controls
- Network circuit troubleshooting and coordination with telecommunications providers
- Zabbix, ServiceNow, Aruba ClearPass and similar monitoring or service-management platforms
- Incident management, root-cause analysis, branch cutovers, network migrations and change management
- Network documentation, implementation planning and technical standards
- Customer and stakeholder communication
- Technical leadership, mentoring, project delivery and cross-functional collaboration
- Network automation, JSON and API-based integrations are advantageous
Preferred qualifications
- Relevant industry certification such as Cisco Certified Network Professional Enterprise, VeloCloud certification, Aruba certification or ITIL Foundation.
- Experience using Zabbix, ServiceNow, Aruba ClearPass or similar enterprise monitoring and service-management tools.
- Experience with network automation, JSON, API-based integrations or managed network services supporting multiple enterprise customers.
