- Coordinate daily work execution with Technicians and Utility Operations, including field walkdowns, job start readiness, technical support during work execution, and post-work verification to ensure Safety, Compliance, Quality, and delivery expectations are met.
- Provide on-the-floor technical guidance to Technicians during complex mechanical maintenance activities, support troubleshooting decisions in the field, verify work quality, and escalate technical, compliance, or resource concerns as required.
- Gather feedback from Technicians after job execution, review recurring field issues, and improve job plans, work instructions, procedures, tools, and spare parts based on actual maintenance experience.
- Support field troubleshooting, condition assessment, maintenance execution, and reliability improvement for mechanical and utilities equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, agitators, mechanical seals, valves, piping systems, HVAC, AHUs, heat exchangers, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, steam generators, air compressors, and pressure vessels.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis and problem solving by using field observations, equipment history, technician input, failed part inspection, and job execution feedback to develop practical reliability improvements.
- Initiate and support deviations related to Utilities operations, Maintenance, and Calibration by gathering field facts, maintenance records, equipment condition evidence, and technician input, and supporting execution of associated CAPAs.
- Ensure maintenance work is executed and documented in accordance with Good Documentation Practice, including accurate field records, work order closeout, and CMMS updates.
- Develop and improve maintenance procedures, work instructions, and job plans based on field execution feedback, equipment walkdowns, technician input, and recurring maintenance issues.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve structured technical training, qualification programs, and individual competency roadmaps for maintenance personnel in calibration and electrical disciplines, ensuring competency progression, GMP compliance, and alignment with site operational needs.
- Capture and share practical maintenance knowledge from field troubleshooting, lessons learned, recurring failures, equipment walkdowns, best practices, technical standards, and technician experience to support knowledge retention and workforce capability development.
- Assess technician technical proficiency through field observations, practical assessments, and coaching engagements to identify technical gaps, development opportunities, and required qualification support.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors during field execution, including job scope confirmation, site readiness, work quality checks, technical issue resolution, knowledge transfer, and post-work verification.
- Define contractor technical expectations and assess contractor work quality during major maintenance activities, shutdown support, field execution, and post-work verification.
- Support project handover, commissioning, qualification, system walkdowns, punch item closure, critical component identification, spare parts identification, and maintenance plan development for new or modified systems.
