Reporting to the Head of HR Employee Relations, this role shall provide professional advice and support to the business in the area of Employee Relations and shall act as the consultant for leaders in facilitating disciplinary cases. The role shall be responsible in handling all Employee Relations concern ensuring that legal risks are minimized if not eliminated. The role is accountable for own work and contributes to setting strong ER standards through expertise that impact other’s deliverables. Can lead medium to large size projects or work streams with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity with multiple teams representing different interests.

Due to the confidential and sensitive nature of the job function, the role must be capable of functioning at a high level of autonomy and independence, be competent in dealing with a broad range of employee issues and confident when interacting with employees and management at all levels of the organization.

The Employee Relations Consultant provides consulting services to employees and managers on job-related issues to facilitate resolution internally, thereby minimizing company liability and third-party complaints. This includes monitoring the company's internal environment, researching, recommending and promoting HR policies and programs designed to support a productive working environment.  Individual Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth, timely and effective resolution of employee relations issues by investigating complaints and concerns; Evaluate and offer choices by providing advice, guidance, and direction

 • Consult, counsel and train management on performance management and progressive discipline issues; Develop and deliver training/coaching sessions related to employee relations

 • Develop strong relationships and act as a liaison between HR, Legal, and the business areas on all Employee Relations issues

• Design and develop communications related to employee policies and programs

• Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures

 • Lead and administer severance actions in supported business areas

• Capture and Utilize key operational and customer-focused data and metrics (to include ER case management) in the ER case management system, (Salesforce); Analyze the data to identify trends and recommend necessary changes to improve overall productivity and services • Take the lead on the most complex employee relations or human resources projects as assigned; Conduct research, analyze data and prepare recommendations

 • Act as an expert on employee relation trends by maintaining and enhancing network of contacts in the industry, participating in industry events and professional associations

 • Mentor and assist in developing more junior members of Employee Relations

Required Qualifications:

• Preferably least 5 to 10 years of in-depth experience in Philippine Employee Relations, Labor Relations or Industrial Relations in the insurance, BPO or Finance industry
• Bachelor’s degree preferably Political Science, Legal Management or other courses in the field of Law.
• Skilled in managing conflict among employees through mediation or negotiations as well as facilitating arbitration.
• Working knowledge on PH labor laws related termination process.
• Knowledge in the finance and insurance industry including related regulatory requirements and compliance.
