Applicants must be within driving distance to any MMA Southeast office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.

A day in the life.

As an Employee Health & Benefits Benefits Specialist (e-sMMArt), you will:

• Benefits Administration:

• • Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other ancillary benefits.
  • Ensure accurate enrollment and maintenance of employee benefits records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).

• Employee Support:

• • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, providing guidance and support on benefits options and enrollment processes.
  • Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and provide ongoing education to employees about their benefits.

• Compliance and Reporting:

• • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits, including ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

• Program Evaluation and Improvement:

• • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of benefits programs, gathering feedback from employees and analyzing utilization data.
  • Recommend enhancements to benefits offerings based on industry trends, employee needs, and organizational goals.

• Vendor Management:

• • Collaborate with benefits vendors and insurance carriers to ensure the delivery of services and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the negotiation and renewal of vendor contracts to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.

• Communication and Education:

• • Develop and distribute communication materials related to benefits programs, including newsletters, brochures, and online resources.
  • Organize and facilitate benefits fairs and informational sessions to promote awareness and understanding of available benefits.

• Collaboration with HR Team:

• • Work closely with the HR team to align benefits programs with overall HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to employee benefits.

Our future colleague.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in benefits administration or a related role, preferably within the insurance or corporate environment, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and support employees.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SPHR) are a plus.

• Must obtain Life and Health Insurance license within first 90 days of employment.
