We are seeking an Editorial Director to own MinIO's editorial strategy and content marketing end-to-end. You are a communications leader equally at home architecting a rolling six-month editorial strategy across owned, earned, and social media, drafting a CEO keynote, producing an engaging customer video, or crafting the narrative for one of AI's emerging infrastructure stories. This is a builder role: you will set direction, create the work, own the budget and the results, measure outcomes, and iterate fast.

Reporting to our Vice President of Brand and Communications, you are an exceptional writer and editor who can translate deeply technical concepts into narratives that are clear, compelling, and credible to both technical and business audiences. You are also a skilled operator and collaborator who puts AI to work across the marketing craft, and who can confidently manage a comprehensive editorial calendar, a focused budget, and a measurement framework that ties every initiative back to business impact. You will accomplish this at the pace of one of the world's most dynamic AI infrastructure companies.

What You Will Do:

Editorial Strategy & Narrative Development

•     Lead a comprehensive editorial strategy that aligns with MinIO's corporate brand and narrative, balancing long-range planning with the agility to execute and reinvent as the market moves.
•     Translate deeply technical concepts and customer stories into compelling storylines that carry across MinIO's channels and advance the company vision, set content strategy for major corporate and product moments, and develop owned platforms that sharpen a distinct MinIO point of view.
•     As MinIO's editor-in-chief, create, maintain, and drive an editorial calendar that delivers consistent, high-quality content across all channels, with clear accountability for deadlines and standards.
•     Partner with web, PR, and social media teams to drive editorial across owned, earned, and social media.

Content Creation & Execution

•     Craft exceptional content across formats: social posts, blog articles, video scripts, executive POVs, newsletters, and other assets that feed the demand funnel.
•     Serve as the company's brand copy editor with sharp attention to detail, producing work that reflects the MinIO brand voice and earns the trust of a technical enterprise audience.
•     Storyboard and executive-produce engaging video and visual storytelling featured across MinIO's owned and social channels, including min.io.
•     Partner across brand marketing and communications, product marketing, and sales to translate cross-functional priorities into content that is on-message, on-time, and balanced between brand awareness and GTM acceleration.
•     Proactively develop differentiated blog and content strategies for product launches and major announcements, acting as the connective tissue between what the product does and why the market should care. Manage content marketing agencies and contract resources as required.

Analytics, Budget & Performance Measurement

•     Own the KPIs and measurement system for editorial and content, selecting indicators that track real progress rather than activity.
•     Own the content budget, allocating resources across a lean bench of AI tools, content production, and paid distribution to maximize ROI.
•     Deliver regular, data-driven reporting that communicates results and makes a clear case for resource decisions.
•     Leverage AI tools thoughtfully across the full content workflow (writing, editing, video production) to raise both the quality and the velocity of output. Continuously optimize based on performance data, bringing a test-and-learn mindset to every channel.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Internal Visibility

•     Provide senior oversight over content MinIO produces while raising the visibility and value of powerful editorial across the organization.
•     Collaborate and partner closely with communications, product marketing, brand, and sales teams to ensure editorial and content programming is tightly integrated with company-wide priorities.
•     Champion the editorial function. Help colleagues across departments understand how to engage with, contribute to, and amplify what the team is building.

Your Skills and Experience:

•    10+ years in editorial and content marketing, including 6+ years in a high-growth B2B technology, AI, or infrastructure software environment.
•     A true builder: equally strong as strategist and executor, with a proven track record of scaling content programs and have the data to show it.
•     Exceptional writer and editor who can translate complex technical concepts into narratives that resonate across audiences, from engineers to executives to industry press and investors, and elevate the MinIO brand story in the process; strong attention to detail is non-negotiable.
•     Deep hands-on experience across LinkedIn, X, and YouTube, with fluency in content management systems, marketing automation, and AI-assisted production tools.
•     Strong working knowledge of SEO and generative engine optimization (GEO) best practices.
•     Familiarity with AI, cloud computing, data infrastructure, or storage technologies.
•     Sound judgment, strong project management instincts, and a collaborative, proactive approach that raises the standard of the work around you.
