About the Role
We’re looking for a technically strong, hands-on E-commerce Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) business.
In this role, you’ll coordinate internal team members and external agencies across paid acquisition, retention marketing, and website operations, ensuring that projects are executed correctly, systems are working as expected, and nothing falls through the cracks.
This is not a traditional project management or high-level strategy role. We need someone who understands how e-commerce platforms and marketing channels work in practice, can confidently navigate tools like Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, and Klaviyo, and knows how to identify and troubleshoot issues when something goes wrong.
You won't necessarily be responsible for executing every marketing initiative yourself, but you'll need enough hands-on experience to evaluate the quality of execution, understand performance data, hold partners accountable, and occasionally step in to resolve operational issues.
You'll work directly with the business owner in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and keeping a growing e-commerce operation running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal team members and external agencies across paid acquisition, retention marketing, and website management, ensuring priorities are clear and deliverables are completed on time.
- Monitor Meta and Google Ads execution, review campaign activity and performance data, and ensure agencies are implementing campaigns correctly.
- Oversee email and SMS marketing operations through platforms such as Klaviyo, checking campaign schedules, flows, launches, and performance.
- Regularly review the Shopify storefront to identify issues, verify updates, and ensure website changes and initiatives are implemented correctly.
- Investigate problems such as missed email sends, campaign setup errors, platform access issues, or website operational issues, resolving them directly when appropriate or coordinating with the responsible team.
- Gather and interpret data across acquisition, retention, and website operations to provide visibility into performance, identify issues, and support informed business decisions.
- Follow up on deliverables, identify execution gaps, communicate expectations, and ensure outstanding tasks are resolved rather than simply reported.
- Keep initiatives moving across multiple channels, coordinate dependencies, and ensure stakeholders have clear visibility into progress and priorities.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve processes, execution quality, and overall e-commerce performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce operations, DTC marketing, e-commerce project management, or a similar hands-on role.
- Experience working with a direct-to-consumer (DTC) or e-commerce brand, or at an agency supporting e-commerce businesses.
- Practical familiarity with Shopify, including navigating the platform, reviewing storefront changes, and troubleshooting basic operational issues.
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager and a working understanding of paid acquisition campaign setup, execution, and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with Klaviyo or similar email and SMS marketing platforms, including campaign scheduling, launches, and basic troubleshooting.
- Exposure to Google Ads and an understanding of how paid acquisition fits into the broader e-commerce operation.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to navigate dashboards, interpret performance data, identify inconsistencies, and communicate findings clearly.
- Proven project and stakeholder management skills, including coordinating agencies, following up on deliverables, and ensuring accountability across teams.
- A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset. You're comfortable getting into the details, investigating problems, and taking action rather than simply escalating issues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to communicate directly with U.S.-based leadership and external partners.
- Comfortable with occasional urgent requests outside standard working hours when business-critical issues arise. These situations are not constant, but flexibility and responsiveness are important.
