Our partner is a venture-backed, tech-enabled insurance brokerage serving roughly a thousand commercial clients. Backed by top-tier investors, the team has doubled in the past year and is opening a new full-floor headquarters in Manhattan. Leadership was recently expanded with senior hires from high-growth technology companies.

The Opportunity

This is a zero-to-one role. There is no channel partnerships function today, and the person in this seat builds it. That means designing the referral motion from scratch and developing relationships with law firms, accounting firms, financial services firms, HR consultancies, fractional CFOs and payroll providers, the professional advisors who sit closest to the buyer.

The role reports into marketing and carries revenue accountability from the start. It suits an operator who has done this before at an earlier-stage company: someone who has built a channel rather than inherited one, and who is equally comfortable in a partner dinner and in a CRM.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the channel partnerships function from the ground up
• Source, sign and activate referral partners across professional services
• Own pipeline and revenue targets generated through the channel
• Establish the operating system for the function: CRM hygiene, SOPs, partner reporting
• Manage external connectors and referral relationships over time
• Partner with marketing and sales leadership on joint programs and co-marketing

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of partnerships experience
• Demonstrated experience building a channel partnerships function from scratch, not only operating within an established one
• B2B partnerships background; startup experience preferred
• An existing network among accountants, fractional CFOs, payroll providers or similar professional advisors
• Track record of carrying and hitting revenue or pipeline targets
• Strong operational discipline with CRM and process documentation
• Polished, externally credible communication
• Willingness to work onsite in New York with approximately 20-30% travel
