Texas Capital is seeking a seasoned HR executive to serve as a strategic business partner to the Corporate & Investment Banking (C&IB) leadership team and member of the HR Leadership Team. Reporting to the CHRO, this senior HR Business Partner will lead the development and execution of talent and organizational strategies that drive revenue growth, client coverage expansion, dealmaking excellence, and long-term competitive advantage. This role requires a deep understanding of investment banking and capital markets, strong executive presence, and the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders while navigating complex stakeholder environments and regulatory considerations. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, consultative partner, and people leader responsible for aligning human capital strategies with C&IB's business priorities, including client retention, market share growth, and talent differentiation in a highly competitive market.
As a hands-on HR leader, this individual will partner closely with C&IB executives and HR Centers of Excellence to deliver scalable solutions across talent acquisition and retention, banker development, performance management, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, compensation and benefits alignment with market practices, inclusion and culture. The role also provides leadership to HR team members embedded within CIB and drives alignment with enterprise HR initiatives while addressing the specialized talent and organizational needs of investment banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner closely with the CHRO and C&IB senior leadership to develop and execute talent strategies that attract, develop, engage, and retain world-class bankers and dealmakers. The Senior HRBP delivers measurable business outcomes across five strategic priorities:
Talent: Create retention programs that reduce attrition of revenue-generating professionals.
Leadership Development: Strengthen leadership capability through executive coaching, succession planning for Managing Directors and key sellers, talent assessment, and performance management calibrated to C&IB's business model and client impact.
Execution & Organizational Design: Improve organizational effectiveness by aligning talent, coverage teams, and workforce structure with business priorities and revenue targets; support market expansion and new practice development.
Insights & Analytics: Leverage workforce data, compensation benchmarking, market intelligence, and talent analytics to inform decisions, identify turnover risks, benchmark talent competitiveness, and improve business performance.
Integration & Culture: Partner across Human Resources to deliver integrated solutions that strengthen C&IB's client-first culture, enhance the employee experience, and enable business growth while maintaining alignment with compliance and risk management expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 12+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including strategic partnership with C-suite and senior business leaders
- 5+ years of HR experience in investment banking, capital markets, or financial services
- Demonstrated business acumen, executive presence, and proven ability to influence senior leadership
- Proven success improving organizational and business performance through talent strategy and leadership development
- Experience with organizational design, workforce planning, and leading complex organizational change
- Understanding of compensation, benefits, and market practices in financial services
- Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management considerations a plus
- Strong analytics and data interpretation skills
