  • Serve as the principal relationship owner for key GSB clients by engaging with stakeholders at senior management and C-suite levels to sustain enduring connections with decision-makers

  • Supervise deal origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution across lending products, transaction banking solutions, treasury offerings, and capital markets transactions

  • Contribute meaningfully to annual account planning and strategic client reviews alongside Global Relationship Managers to optimize relationship returns

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the GSB team by fostering a culture of high performance grounded in collaboration and mutual support

  • Provide guidance on client management strategies, credit risk assessment methodologies, deal execution best practices, and business development approaches

  • Allocate resources judiciously within the team to ensure optimal client coverage while overseeing workload management for balanced operations

  • Support talent development initiatives, including succession planning and staff engagement activities

  • Maintain responsibility for portfolio quality by proactively managing credit risk within the GSB portfolio

  • Oversee the preparation of credit proposals, transaction approvals, and business cases while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

  • Partner closely with Credit, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and other control functions to ensure effective risk governance and timely issue resolution

  • Monitor portfolio performance indicators such as covenant compliance, utilization trends, AML/KYC requirements, and other risk factors

  • Act as the primary liaison between local teams as well as regional and Head Office stakeholders on all GSB-related matters

  • Build strong working relationships with internal partners, including Credit Operations, Client Services, Product Offices, Finance, Compliance, and regional GSB teams

  • Represent the organization at industry events, client forums, business councils, and networking platforms to enhance market visibility

  • Ensure high standards of client service delivery by overseeing account opening, facility implementation, documentation, and onboarding processes to ensure timely execution

  • Drive process improvements and operational excellence initiatives aimed at enhancing client experience and business effectiveness

  • Contribute strategic ideas and recommendations for the continuous enhancement of MUFG’s business operating model

What you bring:

To excel in this role, you should possess substantial experience in corporate banking, complemented by deep familiarity with multinational client portfolios.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related discipline

  • At least 12 to 15 years of relevant banking experience with significant exposure to corporate banking, transaction banking or multinational client coverage
