Digital Product Designer (UI)
We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Working alongside an internal design team and a high number of stakeholders, you will help strengthen internal capability so the team can respond more quickly to design requests and deliver clear, consistent digital experiences.
We will count on you to:
- Lead hands-on experience design and UI work across Mercers digital platforms, including the app, member portal, adviser portal and public website
- Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs that support the rebrand and the refresh of digital assets
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, component libraries and reusable patterns
- Translate business needs, stakeholder input and customer requirements into practical, accessible design solutions
- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, content and technology teams in a stakeholder-heavy environment
- Support user research, usability testing and journey mapping to improve the overall digital experience
What you need to have:
- Demonstrated experience in UI and experience design, with confidence working hands-on across design tools and digital assets
- Experience leading design work for complex digital products or enterprise environments
- A strong understanding of design fundamentals, accessibility and inclusive design principles
- Experience working with stakeholders, managing feedback and contributing to collaborative design processes

- A practical understanding of design tools, component libraries with the ability to contribute to website and digital asset refreshes

- Experience in financial services or similarly complex environments would be an advantage
