Job Responsibilities

• Write copy for assigned projects across all media channels including digital, social and traditional media, email, branded content, websites, commercials, print ads, mobile, etc. and ensure all work is completed on time.
• Work with business owner(s), project managers, art directors, and designers to conceptualize creative tactics that will advance the company's merchandising, business, marketing, SEO and/or branding objectives.
• Collaborate with designers and editors to ensure all copy is accurately represented, supplied, and proofread prior to release. 
• Maintain standards in customer-facing written content, delivering copy that's consistent, high-quality, and on brand. 
• Perform SEO tasks such as keyword and content topic research for content optimization; proactively identify new areas of opportunity based on organic search traffic trends and work with manager to prioritize.
• Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts, with an emphasis on company interests. Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed by the Content Architect.

• Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
• Follow legal policies as directed.

Job Requirements

• 2 years writing content for the web
• Possess an understanding of SEO best practices for website content
• Experience writing marketing ad copy and blog content
• Creative
• Detail-oriented
• Adaptable to change
• Working knowledge of SEO/Content Marketing tools & best practices
• Team player and positive attitude a must
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines, and be proactive (see something, say something)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to react quickly to feedback positively and constructively
• Strong presentation skills; comfortable presenting to team and managers
• Proficient problem solving and project management skills
• Knowledge of home decor trends and home retail a plus
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of WordPress/blog-style CMS
• Working knowledge of SEO tools including SEMrush, SEO Clarity, Google AdWords

Education

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or a related field or any combination of education and/or experience is required.​

Physical Requirements:

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
