The Digital Designer will join The Agency, Wolverine Worldwide's in-house creative agency, supporting the Merrell brand as part of the Digital Creative team. Reporting to the Senior Digital Designer, you’ll create digital-first marketing assets from concept through execution, bringing Merrell to life across key digital touchpoints while collaborating closely with creative, marketing, UX, development, and project partners.

Primary Duties:
- Design digital assets and experiences that bring Merrell campaigns, products, and brand stories to life across websites, landing pages, paid social, display ads, email, and other digital marketing channels.
- Apply insights, user behavior, and performance data to inform design decisions and continually improve digital experiences.
- Translate brand direction, campaign concepts, and business goals into polished creative that feels purposeful, channel-aware, and true to Merrell.
- Create layouts, templates, design-system elements, and production-ready assets that help the team move quickly while keeping the brand experience consistent and elevated.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align creative direction, clarify requirements, and move digital work smoothly from concept through delivery.
- Design with the full customer journey in mind, considering how each asset functions across responsive, interactive, and platform-specific experiences.
- Use Figma as a core design tool to prototype ideas, organize work clearly, collaborate with partners, and prepare files for handoff.
- Contribute motion concepts, animated assets, and interactive ideas using foundational animation principles where appropriate.
- Stay curious about digital design trends, platform requirements, creative best practices, and emerging tools that can help the team create sharper, smarter, more engaging work.
- Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
- Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a Digital Creative role on an agency or in-house team.
- A strong portfolio that shows digital-first design work with clear craft, thoughtful storytelling, and an understanding of how creative performs across web, social, email, advertising, or campaign-based channels.
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles, accessibility considerations, and digital experience best practices.
- Experience designing for digital environments such as responsive websites, email, paid media placements, touchscreen experiences, and other interactive or platform-specific formats.
- Proficiency in Figma, with experience designing, prototyping, organizing files, collaborating with partners, and preparing work for handoff.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with the ability to create, refine, and prepare visual assets for digital production.
- Strong visual design fundamentals, including layout, typography, hierarchy, color, composition, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once, incorporate feedback, and deliver high-quality work within evolving timelines and priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present design thinking clearly, respond thoughtfully to feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
Bonus Skills & Experience:
- Advanced Figma experience, including scalable components, variants, variables, auto layout, prototyping, shared design libraries, and disciplined file structures.
- Deep knowledge of animation principles, motion design, or animated digital asset production.
- Experience working with emerging digital tools, AI-assisted creative workflows, and innovative ways to make the design process more efficient, expressive, and effective.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
Wolverine Worldwide has a flexible, hybrid work schedule, with three days in office and two days remote.
