Why this role exists We run one of the most specialised wholesale-credit delivery capabilities in the industry: an end-to end commercial lending and credit modernisation engagement spanning Large Corporate Underwriting, Wholesale Credit Delivery, Portfolio Management, Monitoring, Fulfilment and Servicing. The CL6 seat exists because that estate needs one accountable owner • not a coordinator across functions, but a leader with the credit authority to arbitrate a rating dispute, the operating rigour to hold delivery to standard, and the build agenda to create scarce capability where the market does not supply it. What are we looking for? • 3. What are you looking for? 4.1 Experience profile • 18+ years of experience in banking and financial services, with at least 8 years leading commercial or wholesale credit operations at scale, including leaders-of-leaders responsibility. • Preference for candidates who have operated within a GCC Global Capability Centre or Managed Business Services model, serving global North American banking clients offshore delivery governance, onshoreoffshore operating rhythm and client embedded ways of working. • Proven leadership of large, multi-location credit or underwriting operations spanning
Roles and Responsibilities: • 1 Role purpose To own the end-to-end delivery, credit quality, capability and commercial performance of the Large Corporate Underwriting, Wholesale Credit Delivery Underwriting and Portfolio Management functions. This is a single accountable leadership seat. If a credit file leaves the floor, if a defect score is disputed, if a lead needs certifying, if the client escalates, if productivity is committed it lands here. The role combines the credit authority of a senior underwriting head, the operating rigour of a service delivery lead and the build agenda of a capability owner standing up niche talent in a market where it barely exists.2. What would you do? Own delivery excellence across the estate • Take end-to-end accountability for Large Corporate UW, WCD Underwriting and Portfolio Management turnaround times, throughput, accuracy, capacity utilisation and client satisfaction across all supported LOBs and delivery locations. • Baseline, negotiate and defend SLAs and KPIs; institutionalise a three-tier governance rhythm daily and weekly operational reviews, monthly business reviews, quarterly steering with a single, defensible source of performance truth. • Embed Brilliant Basics as a standard, not a campaign: SOP currency and version control, checklists, maker-checker integrity, structured work allocation, shift coverage, documented handovers and disciplined escalation. • Drive root-cause analysis on every SLA miss, escalation and material defect; convert findings into SOP updates, targeted coaching and control changes, and evidence the closure. • Own capacity and volume planning, pyramid health, span of control and shrinkage managementanticipate volume and complexity shifts rather than react to them. • Set and review the performance scorecard for each CL7 lead, holding a consistent standard across functions.
