You are an experienced data domain owner or data asset manager who thrives at the intersection of data governance, business partnership, and hands-on analytics. You know how to bring order to complex, multi-source data ecosystems — and you care deeply about data quality and trust.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end data stewardship, governance, and management of the Employee Care data ecosystem — from defining how data is sourced and structured, to ensuring it is trusted, well-defined, and ready for downstream analytics and reporting.

You will be embedded across three connected teams: the Employee Care D&A Product team, the Employee Care Service team, and the Employee Insights Program — giving you both strategic visibility and operational grounding.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will move fluidly between deep data analysis, governance design, business partnership, and data asset design — and you will be a key voice in shaping how Employee Care data creates business value.

You will be a foundational enabler of that ambition.

What You Will Do

1. Own Source Data Stewardship & Governance

You will be the primary data steward for Employee Care source systems — principally ServiceNow (ticket data) and AskEve/Rezolve (chat and self-serve interaction data). You will map tables and fields to analytics needs, assess data sufficiency and completeness, and work with platform owners to close identified data gaps. You will ensure data at the source is trusted and fit for downstream use.

2. Lead Source Data Change Management

You will establish and own a formal change management process covering schema changes, field additions, value list updates, and workflow changes across in-scope data systems. This includes impact assessments, structured communication, sign-off processes, post-implementation validation, and maintaining regression and No-Negative-Impact Testing (NNIT) protocols — so that changes never silently break downstream analytics.

3. Shape the Data Strategy for Employee Care

Working closely with the Employee Care D&A Product Owner, you will help define a forward-looking data asset strategy — what data assets are needed, how they should be structured and prioritized, and how they should evolve. You will bring a strategic data perspective into planning and roadmap discussions.

4. Build Business Partnership Around Definitions & KPIs

You will partner with HR, IT, and Support Operations stakeholders to align on business nomenclature and KPI definitions — driving consensus so that everyone is working from the same shared understanding of key metrics and terms. You will maintain a living business glossary for the Employee Care domain.

5. Define and Monitor Data Quality

You will deep-dive into source data to assess quality, completeness, consistency, and fitness for defined analytics use cases. You will define data quality rules and thresholds, design automated monitoring mechanisms, and lead remediation efforts with source system owners when issues arise.

6. Lead Taxonomy Design & Canonical Data Modeling

This is one of the most impactful parts of the role. You will lead the design, alignment, and implementation of an employee intent taxonomy and a service accountability model — enabling consistent classification of chat transcripts and employee interactions for reporting on recurring issues and identifying the accountable service team to address them. You will also govern the canonical data model that standardizes definitions and structures across all support tiers.

7. Partner on Data Architecture

You will collaborate with Data Architects and Engineering teams — reviewing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, integration designs, and data flows. You will ensure architectural designs meet business needs, align with the canonical model, and support scalability. You bring enough data architecture knowledge to evaluate trade-offs and recommend improvements constructively.

8. Drive Metadata Management & Data Cataloging

You will manage metadata for Employee Care data assets and lead data cataloging activities — ensuring all published assets carry complete business definitions, lineage, ownership, quality metrics, and usage guidance. You will champion catalog adoption across the analytics community.

9. Own Data Asset Validation & Testing

You will define test cases, expected outcomes, and acceptance criteria for validating data assets before production release. You will maintain regression test suites and partner with QA, engineering, and business SMEs to execute validation and secure sign-off.

Job Qualifications

Required

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in data stewardship, data management, or data governance
• Hands-on experience managing data from ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM / ticket management platform
• Proven experience designing and running data change management processes, including regression and NNIT testing
• Strong understanding of canonical data modeling, taxonomies, and data standardization across complex, multi-tier environments
• Working knowledge of data architecture principles — enough to critically engage with and contribute to architecture artifacts
• Strong hands-on SQL skills and experience with data quality assessment
• Experience working in or with Databricks
• Demonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders to align on KPI definitions and business terminology

Preferred

• Background in Employee Care, HR Services, IT Service Management, or a Shared Services environment
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS)
• Experience using or enabling Power BI or comparable BI/analytics tools
• Certifications in data governance or data management or ITSM domains
• Experience contributing to data contracts with SaaS vendors
