We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Data Analyst 1 to join our Data & Analytics team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Lead Data Engineer, the Data Analyst 1 supports business decision-making through hands-on data analysis, reporting, and insight generation. This role works closely with business stakeholders to understand key questions, translate them into analytical approaches, and deliver clear, actionable insights.
This is a hands-on analytical role requiring strong SQL, practical Python experience, data exploration, statistical analysis, and an understanding of data modeling. The role is not primarily focused on dashboard development or reporting.
The Data Analyst 1 contributes to initiatives across areas such as customer analytics, loyalty, marketing, retail operations, and merchandising. Using large and complex datasets, this role identifies trends, measures outcomes, supports experimentation, and uncovers opportunities to drive business value.
You will be responsible for:
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand priorities, business questions, processes, and KPIs.
- Analyzing large and complex datasets to generate insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Writing SQL queries to extract, join, transform, and analyze data.
- Using Python and notebook-based tools for data wrangling, exploratory analysis, and statistical analysis.
- Building reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate findings clearly and effectively.
- Maintaining dashboards, reports, and other data assets to support accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Supporting the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments, including A/B testing and hypothesis-driven analysis.
- Working with and understanding data models used for reporting and analysis.
- Validating data quality, troubleshooting issues, and investigating inconsistencies in datasets and reporting.
- Translating business questions into analytical approaches and clear recommendations.
- Identifying trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities through thoughtful analysis.
- Collaborating with data and cross-functional partners to support business and analytical needs.
- Building knowledge of core datasets, reporting logic, and business context within the assigned analytics domain.
- Supporting broader Data & Analytics team priorities and cross-functional projects as required.
You have:
- A degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or another quantitative discipline.
- 3+ years in data analytics, business analytics, or a related analytical role.
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and data transformation.
- Practical Python skills for data analysis and data wrangling.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts.
- Experience with Power BI, Databricks AI/BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and experimentation.
- Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or Databricks.

Compensation Details:
$75,509.00 - $94,387.00The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
