This role is the ETCH local focal between customer and factory with service product development, evaluation, penetration, and deployment within AGS (Applied Global Service) business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for the identification/development of service solutions working closely in consultation with Factory teams and account teams.

• Defines customer needs and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project.

• Viewed by customers as technical expert in wafer process and hardware technologies.

• Responsible for managing the definition and implementation of service solutions, to meet the customer’s current and future requirements for productivity and leading edge technology.

• Integrates customer technology requirements into internal product roadmap.

• Resolves complex field process issues utilizing systematic troubleshooting methodology.

• Create a mechanism to communicate issues and track progress.

• Use sound statistical techniques like DOEs to quickly determine root cause and action plans.

• Responsible for customer demos, including defining demo conditions, wafer processing and analyzing results.

• Assists account teams in managing the customer account to enhance customer satisfaction and increase Applied Materials’ product and technical reputation.

• Works with Factory teams in technology development and transfer to customers including customized process development.

• Negotiates evaluation specifications with customers, taking ownership of delivering the required solution to the customers that meets specification.

• Local lead in positioning new service technologies to customers utilizing technical information from SBU (Service BU). 

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree is required, master or PhD is preferred

• At least 5 years of direct wafer processing expertise is required, with at least 3 years experience directly supporting a customer is required. (Job scope may be adjusted according to candidate's mature level)

• Etch experience is preferred.

• Self-driven. Proven expertise and comfort driving projects and programs with limited oversight

• Dual language fluency in both Chinese and English is required.

• Preferred qualifications include the ability to integrate process technology, hardware technology, and customer integration technology.
